Middle School Overview:
Our Middle School program is managed by the Principal Ms. Lorraine Hirakawa, and the Assistant Principal, Mr. Robert Marto. The middle school (grades 6-8) is currently composed of two classes at each grade level.
Each student participates in the following core content classes: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Additionally, students participate in the following specialist classes: Islamic Studies, Arabic, AFL, Physical Education, Academic Support, Health, Transition Class, Art, Music, and Information Technology.
Curriculum creation is ongoing to ensure that a challenging program is presented that personalizes students’ needs. Continuity in curriculum is evident across all grade levels.
The middle school staff members work as a team, sharing ideas and creating new innovations in learning. Among the middle school staff there is a strong, positive, and unified approach towards the education of our students. The goal is to instill a lifelong love of learning for each and every student.
Communicating positively and clearly to parents is a goal of the Middle School team, as well as creating a nurturing environment to encourage student learning; thus ensuring growth in both academics and social/emotional wellbeing.
