From the moment you enter our campus and meet our students and staff, you will experience our priority to foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone at Al-Bayan International School. We believe that this environment – where everyone has the right to feel safe, happy and respected – is a key component of our school's approach to make every student feel that they belong and matter.
Our goal is not only to help students become competent learners, but also independent and responsible members of their families and communities. To ensure this, BIS has developed core values not only for school life but also for the life outside of school. Our three core values are:
These values are complimented by our three good habits:
Our good habits provide our students with the support that they need for their academic, social and emotional development. Through focused assessment and personalized individual learning plans, our teachers prepare each student to successfully navigate all academic endeavors and social situations.
Our small class sizes further allow for teachers to attend to the needs of every student in their care. Together with the school's core values, the staff at BIS are also on a professional level committed to the notions of Communication, Clarity, Consistency and Accountability in dealing not only with other staff members, but also with students and parents.
Our facilities have seen significant changes in the past year, resulting in a complete renovation of the inside and outside pf the building, more outside spaces for our students during breaks, three new science labs, newly renovated classrooms, new interactive whiteboards and upgraded security structures.
We are committed to, and excited about the year and the future of BIS. It is only with the support of all role players within the BIS community that we can become a truly inclusive school, thus providing our students with the best possible education.
