TUTION FEES PAYMENT POLICY (Subject to Change based on Ministry's Guidelines):
The tuition fees for the regular program are paid in three installments as shown in the above table. The tuition payment schedule set by the Ministry of Education’s policy is as follows:
-
A non-refundable and non-transferable registration deposit of KD 100/- must be paid immediately upon acceptance of new students. This deposit will be deducted from the first installment of tuition fees.
-
Balance of 1st installment (34% of total fees) is due by 30th August.
-
2nd installment of tuition fees (33% of total fees) must be paid by 1st January.
-
3rd installment (remaining 33% of total fees) must be paid by 1st April.
INCLUSION FEES: (Only for inclusion program students)
-
In addition to the fees mentioned above, the inclusion program fees are 500 KD per subject, which covers the weekly resource classes conducted during the academic year, in addition to the IEP (Individual Educational Plan) for the student.
-
This amount is payable in two installments (250 KD in advance of each semester).
-
Classes are conducted during regular school hours
NOTES:
-
The tuition fees listed above are subject to change by school administration based on the Public Administration for Private Education’s approval.
-
The above tuition does not include: (New students’ admissions interview/evaluation fee, School Uniforms, Transportation, School Photos, School Field Trips, Annual BIS Yearbook, Optional After-School Activities, Optional KG After School Club, Damaged/lost library/textbooks, and Canteen Meals).
-
Students registered late after the start of the school year will have to immediately pay the respective tuition installment due as per the payment schedule.
PAYMENT METHODS:
FIRST INSTALLMENT PAYMENT:
-
The first installment is due no later than the 30th August every school year to confirm the student’s seat. If parents intend to delay attendance of their child/ren at the beginning of the school year for any reason, it is their responsibility to inform the BIS Admissions Office at admissions@bis.edu.kw about the delay and to make the necessary arrangements to settle the 1st installment payment by the due date. Otherwise, the school has the right to drop the enrollment of the child/ren without notifying the parents and the family will forfeit any deposit already made.
LATE INSTALLMENTS POLICY:
-
Late payments during the school year, between 30th August and 31st March, will result in holding the student’s report card. A continuous record of late payments during the school year may result in blocking the student’s enrollment for the following school year.
RE-ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT POLICY:
-
A deposit of KD100 is required for each student by April 1st of every school year to guarantee a seat for the student for the upcoming academic year. The deposit amount reserves the student’s seat only until August 31st, thereafter, the 1st installment of tuition fees is due by 30th August.
-
The deposit amount is non-refundable and non-transferable between students and will be deducted from the first installment of tuition fees for the following academic year.
-
Failure to pay the deposit before the deadline may result in the loss of the student’s seat at BIS for the following academic year. After the 1st of April, the system will automatically place students who have not paid deposits on the waiting list. Re-enrollment will only depend on space availability. Students with an unenrolled status will not be included in the class lists and cannot attend school at the beginning of the school year.
-
The re-enrollment deposit fee for the following school year can only be paid after all outstanding tuition fees for the current school year are paid in full.
-
Student re-enrollment is contingent on academic results and behavior records. If a student fails or violates the behavior code of conduct, payment of deposit fee will not oblige the school to accept him/her for the following school year.
WITHDRAWAL PAYMENT POLICY:
The following is a table of the tuition fees charged during the school year for withdrawn students:
-
Withdrawal between the 1st day of school and December 31st: 34% of total fees to be paid
-
Withdrawal between January 1st and March 31st: 67% of total fees to be paid
-
Withdrawal after April 1st: 100% of total fees to be paid
As per the Ministry of Education’s policies, transfer of students’ files to other schools will not occur unless all outstanding tuition fees are settled in full. Furthermore, if a student is withdrawn from BIS after attending the first day of school, the 1st installment of tuition fees will still be due since a spot was held for that student. The transfer of that student’s file will not occur until the first installment is paid.
